This course aims to integrate key elements of engineering previously covered in electrical and mechanical courses, ensuring that each student is equipped with the necessary skills to manage the complexities that this integration entails. The skills to be developed include:

• Advanced knowledge of analog circuitry, including transistors (BJT and FET types) and H-bridges.
• Understanding of operational amplifiers and their applications in comparators, compensators, filters, and level-adjusters.
• Design of power sources.
• PCB layout and simulation.
• Version control practices.
• Further training in C programming for microcontrollers, covering algorithms, libraries, coding standards and conventions, state machines, abstraction, and embedded control.

Students in this course will gain the knowledge to program a microcontroller, utilise its main peripherals, and interface it with electronic circuits. This will enable them to acquire and monitor information from various sensors and use this data to perform measurement and control tasks.
