Firmware and instrumentation development for a propulsion rig

One of the present research focuses within the MechatronicSystems.Group (MS.G) is multi-rotor aerial vehicles (MRAVs). To support this research, we’re developing a Propulsion Rig to evaluate the static and dynamic capabilities of various propulsion systems. This rig will help analyse motor-propeller subsystems used in MRAVs to generate thrust and torque.

MS.G have already developed a minimum viable product propulsion rig. The next phase involves refining the existing design to enhance the rig's performance, reliability, and physical user interface. This project will involve the following tasks:

Ideal candidates will possess instrumentation skills, along with a solid understanding of embedded systems and programming.
