Projects

Vacation work projects nominally run during both Summer and Winter holiday periods. The following vacation work projects are either in progress, or open for applications with the MechatronicSystems.Group. If you would like to know more, please follow the link in question and contact the listed supervisor for more details.

Open for application

The MS.G is currently seeking multiple students to conduct vacation work in the field of mechatronics. The follow vac work projects are available. Note that some projects can accommodate multiple students:

  1. MicroUAV redesign — Adaptation of MicroUAV design for usage on the attitude test rig.
  2. Design of a 3D-printable coaxial variable-tilt octocopter — Design of a scaled-down 3D-printable coaxial variable-tilt octocopter
  3. Development of a GUI for MoCap System — Developing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) to support the real-time motion capture algorithm.
  4. Development of pipeline for MATLAB-generated CUDA + ROS2 code deployment — Experimenting with Jetson Nano and MATLAB C++/GPU coder to establish a functional straight-from-MATLAB deployment pipeline for integrated ROS2 + machine vision applications.
  5. Stewart Platform Hardware Upgrades + MATLAB package — Software & Hardware for new and improved Stewart platform.
